Cordelia Elias, Esquire

Mrs. Elias is a member of the York Legal Group's  litigation practice.  Mrs. Elias supports the firm's nationwide practice, representing state governments and agencies.  Her practice is principally dedicated to the defense of state operated mental health and developmental disability facilities.  She has extensive experience advising clients in risk management and in the implementation of the Civil Rights of Institutionalized Person Act (CRIPA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Olmstead v. L.C., et al. 

Mrs. Elias is also responsible for developing business outside of the firm's core practice areas, representing private plaintiffs and heading off matters involving the IDEA. 

Mrs. Elias received her J.D. from Thomas Cooley School of Law.  Mrs. Elias received her B.S. from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. 

She is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Land and Title Association and the Harrisburg Young Professionals.  Mrs. Elias is a regular volunteer at the Harrisburg Area Humane Society and anually participates in the Dauphin County probono program.   

 

Mrs. Elias is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas; U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.
